Unlike Planet Fitness and Equinox, 24 Hour Fitness offers three legitimate cancellation methods. But each has its own traps — and getting it wrong means extra months of charges.
- Method 1: In Person — Visit your home club and complete a cancellation form. Get a written confirmation with a cancellation number. Don't leave without it.
- Method 2: Phone — Call 1-800-432-6348. Ask for a cancellation confirmation number and document the rep's name and call time. Note: Phone cancellations have been disputed by members; always follow up in writing.
- Method 3: Certified Mail — The safest option. Send to: 24 Hour Fitness, PO Box 2689, Carlsbad, CA 92018. Include your full name, address, email, member ID, and home club location.
Annual contracts typically have a $30–$50 early termination fee (ETF) pro-rated by month. If you're within the last 3 months of your contract, it's often cheaper to wait it out.
